5 Self-Care Tips To Help You Feel Good During COVID-19

Dealing with stay-at-home orders for COVID-19 is one of the most depressing things that you could deal with during the COVID-19 pandemic. You are likely already saddened by the fact that people are getting sick and dying all over the world. Add onto that the fact that you are sitting at home, you do not feel very productive, and you do not have any motivation. Try some of these tips if you want to be productive and are ready to make some changes in your life.

1.  Eat Breakfast

That’s it. That’s the tip. You need to eat breakfast. Coffee is not breakfast. You need to eat some sort of breakfast food, possibly eat something with protein, have a small cup of coffee, and a juice that will give you a boost of energy. If you are not eating breakfast, you are going to get hungry far too early in the day, and you will feel even worse after eating too much for your early lunch.

2.  Take Breaks

You are probably working hard, but you need to take breaks. A lot of people simply work too much because they are starting earlier and working later. You absolutely need to take breaks if you plan to get through the pandemic. When you take breaks, you can get up to stretch. You can avoid any major issues with your health, and you can keep a normal sleep schedule. This gets much worse if you crash, take a midday nap, and cannot sleep at night.

3.  Wear Fun Masks

When you buy masks, you should find something fun to make it a little bit more interesting when you go outside. You can also wear these masks on all your video calls to make your colleagues laugh. This is a fun way to change your attitude about the situation, and other people will get a good laugh out of seeing you in the mask when you go out.

4.  Take A Walk

Throw on your mask and take a walk even if that is the only thing you do to get out of the house. You should not stay in the house all day, you most certainly should sit in a dark room with no sunshine. Sunshine will help you feel a little bit more invigorated, and you can walk to places that you might not have seen before. You can breathe in some fresh air, stop working, and enjoy nature at least once a day.

5.  Eat Regular Meals

As mentioned above, you need to eat normal meals. Eating breakfast means that you can eat a normal lunch. You can do the same thing for dinner, and you can have a glass of wine to close out the day. You are not overdoing it, and you are on something that resembles a normal schedule.
